Avatar Fight online

A world worth remembering.

The original Avatar Fight wiki is coming back, one source at a time.

This is the entrance to the archive. The complete wiki is still being reconstructed. We are collecting the original guides, items, pets and mechanics from 2012–2015, alongside the game itself.

The original world

Avatar Fight was an online game by Virtuesoft. Its old homepage introduced its cartoon fighters and pets, with links for iPhone, iPad and Android. Those original illustrations are part of this homepage again.

2011–2012 · The early years

Apple's archived listing dates the iOS release to 2011. In 2012 it named VirtueSoft.com as the developer. The original homepage brought the fighters, pets and mobile editions together.

Virtuesoft and GameJoy

By September 2013, the Android HD listing named GameJoy. Later Apple pages still displayed VirtueSoft.com alongside a gamejoy.com copyright. Both names are documented; a company takeover or a precise handover date is not established by these records.

When did the original service end?

2014 · The wiki's farewell

By 4 June 2014, the community wiki displayed a farewell from its operator, lepel, titled The end of an era. He described deteriorating support and a conflict over game masters and forum moderation. This records the wiki operator's account, not an official game-server shutdown notice.

2020 · Players report an unavailable game

On 19 September 2020, NickFamzi published a YouTube video whose title says the game no longer works and asks whether Avatar Fight and Avatar Fight HD have shut down. This is a dated player report; it does not establish an official shutdown date.

AppBrain lists 6.6.1 as the last available Android HD version, updated in October 2015, and records its removal from Google Play on 4 November 2020. Store removal is a separate event from server shutdown.

We have not yet found a verified official announcement giving the game server shutdown date. The forum had closed by June 2015, but its notice referred only to the forum and still directed players to customer support. That was not a game shutdown announcement.

Today · A community revival

This project reconstructs the game and its history from surviving sources. It is an independent community project, not a claim of an official relaunch by the original publishers.
